WSEC Warriors
WSEC Warriors is our flagship youth development and environmental stewardship programme, delivered in partnership with The Rachel Du Toit Charitable Trust, Investec Strategic Philanthropy, and the Let It Grow Foundation.
The programme equips young people with practical environmental skills, leadership experience and a strong sense of purpose through hands-on work, mentoring and structured learning. Participants gain experience in conservation, greening, waste management, food growing and site maintenance, while contributing meaningfully to the Centre and surrounding community.
The programme prioritises green entrepreneurship, incorporating modules in financial literacy and small business development to support participants in translating environmental skills into sustainable, income-generating opportunities.
Mamelodi Greening
Through our greening program, we have planted over 35,000 trees in the Mamelodi community in collaboration with local ward councilors. This initiative provides hands-on training for community members in tree planting and care, highlighting the social, environmental, and economic benefits of trees to empower the community for a greener future..
Community Nursery
In our community nursery we propagate indigenous plants for use in our greening programmes. Our focus is on nurturing native species that support local ecosystems and enhance biodiversity. By providing high-quality plants, we aim to contribute to sustainable landscaping and foster environmental stewardship within the community.
