Drama Program

During school holidays we invite the Youth Clubs to weeklong drama training around a dedicated environmental theme. The participants are introduced to the Dramatic arts and Movement, characterization, voice work, mime, movement, physical theatre and improvisation. By the end of the week the children have developed a drama which they will perform to the other children.

After the drama the children take to the streets with banners and huge street puppets that they have made during the week, creating a colourful and vibrant street parade to bring across a strong environmental message.

This theme was ‘Conservation of Endangered Wildlife – Elephants’ and concluded with a play festival where learners performed group plays around issues of Elephant Poaching.
