Grade 10 and 11 learners from Life Sciences from all the schools in Mamelodi are invited to enter a team of four learners. The format that we use is the same as the WESSA –Mondi National Quiz that is presented annually at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal.
The Share-net Hands On Series and the Enviro Facts sheets are used as a base as well as general knowledge on environmental issues.
This competition is now extended to the Zoo Clubs from the National Zoo with whom we have developed a partnership.
The prize for the winning team is to present Mamelodi at this National Quiz and a visit to the Aquarium in Durban.
The quiz is both exciting and educational and age appropriate to involve the teenager learner.
