The JNF, Walter Sisulu Environmental Centre in Mamelodi, founded in Sept 2004,
is an award winning environmental discovery centre.
Our aim is to be a leading environmental education and resource centre that demonstrates models
of best practice within the community and creates champions for a sustainable future.
MAKING IT POSSIBLE
The centre demonstrates in practical and visible ways actions that can be taken by South Africans that promote meet our development objectives and help with climate change mitigation.EDUCATING OUR YOUTH
To date we have hosted over 68 000 learners at our centre in the key learning areas of Water, Waste, Energy, and Biodiversity with curriculum based educational activities that support teachers, educate and motivate learners with outcomes based activities that are stimulating, fun and informative.-
